By Farmers, For Farmers

The French Creek Solar project is a major step towards energy independence for Erie County - produced within the County, for the County. This project is being developed in partnership with local farmers, who are choosing to keep their land productive by integrating solar with ongoing agricultural practices.

We are called not to exploit the earth, but to care for it, preserve it, and pass it on in good condition to the next generation.

Solar development creates local jobs and generates significant, long-term, local tax revenue to stimulate the community.

This is a privately funded project that puts real dollars back into the community for the next generation

Grazing and pollinators allow farmers to increase and diversify revenues without taking land out of AG. production.

Our Focus: Community Growth & Environmental Stewardship

Through this project, local farmers are choosing to keep their land productive while exploring new ways to serve both their families and the broader community. By combining agriculture with clean energy, we are working to honor the land, care for the natural resources and support future generations with long-term stewardship, tax revenues and economic stability.

Solar specific ordinances are already in place in each township, dictating required design criteria like setbacks and screening, and detailed approval process requirements. Townships have provided the guidelines for Ampliform to gain local approval

Supporting Local Agriculture
Is At The Heart Of This
Project

Solar and farming can work hand-in-hand. This project is being developed in partnership with local farmers, who are choosing to keep their land productive - not paved over or sold off - by integrating solar with ongoing agricultural practices.

Local Energy, Local Responsibility

Energy has to be produced somewhere - and for too long, that "somewhere" has been out of sight and out of mind: foreign oil fields, mountaintop mines, or disadvantaged communities. This project is about taking responsibility locally, and keeping the benefits local.

Supporting Biodiversity

This project is taking a different approach - one that actively supports biodiversity. We're exploring: pollinator-friendly ground cover, rotational sheep grazing, and site layouts which support wildlife movement.
