Unlocking Solar Potential
Harnessing clean energy to power communities while preserving the environment for our future generations.

Benefits
In addition to climate and environmental benefits, grid-scale solar development results in direct economic benefits for municipalities. When land is converted from agricultural use to grid-scale solar development and re-appraised, local governments and schools receive higher tax revenues. Payments made to farmers/landowners and local labor and businesses also generate additional economic activity in the community.

Keeping Farmland In Farm Production
The co-location of solar and agriculture offers opportunities for conservation, food production, increasing pollinator habitat, and adding additional farm revenue streams. Co-pasturing and agrivoltaics are very beneficial to maintain the rural character of the community. The project is committed to exploring all opportunities to maintain agricultural benefits.

Community Investment
At Ampliform, we believe in the power of community. Our Giving Back program is designed to directly support the neighborhood through meaningful contributions to meet local need. This project is committed to making community investments that directly enhance the quality of life for the community.

Supporting The Local Economy
Ampliform is committed to partnering with local contractors, hiring local workers, and supporting the local economy. As construction ramps up, we will be hiring local labor where possible - creating jobs for residents right here in the community. While construction is underway, our teams will rely on local hotels, restaurants, suppliers, and service providers. We work to partner with local vendors firms, especially those with experience in aggregates, grading, electrical, fencing, vegetation, and trucking.

Decommissioning & Restoration
Decommissioning is the act of restoring the site to its prior condition at the end of its useful life. Solar has minimal impact on soils – unlike many other developments, it involves low risk of contamination and preserves soil health, allowing for future agricultural use after decommissioning. Ampliform has committed to meet or exceed all decommissioning requirements.
Support American-Made Energy
French Creek Solar will generate American-made, cost-effective clean energy that benefits residents and businesses. By harnessing sustainable energy, this initiative not only supports energy independence but also contributes to a robust, resilient energy infrastructure.

Local Energy For Local Benefit
All electricity currently consumed in Erie County is imported from outside the area via long electric distribution lines from distant power plants. With local energy demand on the rise, the French Creek Solar Project is a major step towards energy independence and resilience for Erie County - produced within the County, for the County. Electricity generated from this site WILL BE USED LOCALLY.
